Clearcut Tree Surgery Ltd is a tree surgery company based in Ferndown, Dorset. It was incorporated in June 2023 and works across all of Dorset, all of Hampshire and parts of Wiltshire. The team holds NPTC, City & Guilds and Lantra qualifications, is signed up to the Forestry Safety Accord, carries £5 million public liability insurance and works to British Standard BS3998. Clearcut was set up to offer tree surgery that is properly qualified, properly insured and honest about what actually needs doing.
The business has grown on word of mouth, from customers who found a tree surgeon who arrived when he said he would, did the work to a high standard and didn't charge for work that wasn't needed.
Today we work for homeowners, landlords, housing associations, councils, developers, farms and estates, on everything from a single stump to woodland and development sites. The approach is the same on every job: a proper look first, a clear written price, safe work by qualified people, and a site left clean.
A large share of our work involves protected trees. We deal with BCP Council, Dorset Council, New Forest District Council, the New Forest National Park Authority, Southampton City Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Test Valley Borough Council and Wiltshire Council, and we never start work on a protected tree without consent.

Max visits your property, assesses your trees and carries out the work with the team. He holds NPTC chainsaw, felling and tree-climbing certificates and City & Guilds qualifications, and works with homeowners, landlords, estates and commercial clients across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Qualified climbers and ground crew, all holding current NPTC certificates for the work they do, with Lantra training for the machinery. Certificates and insurance are available at every visit.
