Clearcut covers West Moors, Three Legged Cross, St Leonards, St Ives, Holt and Woodlands. Our working yard is near West Moors and our office is next door in Ferndown. West Moors sits at the northern edge of the East Dorset heathland, so tall Scots pines, birches and oaks are the main garden trees. The village is in Dorset Council's area, and we handle any TPO or conservation area application for you.
West Moors grew among pine and heath, and many of those trees are still in its gardens.
Scots pines on the acid sand grow tall and root shallow and wide. When they lean over a bungalow roof or the road, they are usually taken down in sections, with every piece lowered on ropes.
With Ferndown Forest and Holt Heath close by, wildlife matters here. Mature pines and oaks can hold bat roosts and nesting birds, so we check before any work and plan around what we find.
Birch, oak and conifer hedges round out the work: deadwood removal from older birches, crown reductions on oaks and hedge trimming.

Everything from one overgrown hedge to a large tree beside the house, by our own NPTC qualified team. All work to British Standard BS3998.
