Old town, big trees
Much of Sherborne's charm comes from its mature trees, and many are protected.
In the town centre and the older streets, trees are in a conservation area and need six weeks' notice to Dorset Council before work. Many big specimen trees also carry TPOs. We check every tree and handle the paperwork.
Large beech, lime, cedar and horse chestnut in old gardens and school grounds often need deadwood removal, crown reductions or a tree assessment to keep them safe beside paths and buildings.
Around the town, farmland and estates bring hedgerow, roadside and woodland work.
