How we bring a cat down
The climber's job is to reach the cat without frightening it further.
Our climber sets a rope high in the tree and climbs up slowly, giving the cat time. Once close, they gently take hold of the cat and put it in a carrier or a soft rescue bag, then lower or climb down with it. Owners are often close by to help keep it calm.
We rarely need to cut anything. If the tree belongs to a neighbour or the council, we make sure the owner is happy for us to climb.
